28 September 2012 – San Francisco, CA: Join the Chinese Historical Society of America (www.chsa.org) for a benefit shopping weekend at Saks Fifth Avenue’s Union Square stores on Saturday and Sunday, September 29 and 30, 2012. During that weekend, Saks Fifth Avenue will donate 10% of proceeds from sales when customers mention the Chinese Historical Society of America at both Saks’ Women’s Store at 384 Post Street, and the Men’s Store at 220 Post Street.

“Saks Fifth Avenue San Francisco is proud to partner with the Chinese Historical Society of America as we recognize the importance of continuing the education and outreach efforts of Chinese American history,” said Ryan J. Williams, Director of Marketing for Saks Fifth Avenue San Francisco stores.

“This is truly a win-win partnership,” said CHSA executive director Sue Lee. “We’re so grateful for this support from one of the city’s most prestigious retailers, and look forward to seeing many of our friends and supporters shopping with us at Saks that weekend.”

In addition to the shopping weekend, Saks has generously offered a $500 shopping experience as an auction item for the upcoming CHSA Voice & Vision annual gala on September 22 at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco. The Chinese Historical Society of America Museum is located at 965 Clay Street (between Powell and Stockton Streets) in San Francisco. More information is available at www.chsa.org.
