New Director of Event Sales and Services Brings Experience and Fresh Outlook to
31 October 2016 – San Mateo, CA: With an eye to raising the bar on its already popular special event and food and beverage options, the San Mateo County Event Center, management has brought on a rising young star to head up Event Sales and Services: Kletra Newton.
“Kletra understands that it’s all about building and fostering relationships,” said Dana Stoehr, COO of the San Mateo County Event Center. “Her connections in business-to-business, and business-to-consumer sales and marketing are unparalleled. We are so excited to offer her expertise to our clients.”
With more than 12 years in product development and marketing, partnering with such brands as NEC, Cisco Systems, Levy Restaurants, Sodexo USA and Stanford University, Newton is a certified event planner with a reputation for creative thinking and professionalism.
The Event Sales and Services Director plays a critical role in developing creative and strategic event solutions for the San Mateo County Event Center with an emphasis on client and guest satisfaction and increased efficiencies and productivity. In her new position, Newton will help lead the sales, events and production teams that sell, plan and execute more than 300 events held annually throughout the Event Center’s 48-acre campus.
