Andres Acosta
Design Director
Andres is a senior product designer who specializes in in front end development and UX design. He has worked as a designer in San Francisco since 2002 and enjoys working with early stage startups and design teams tackling big problems. In 2005, he helped a team at Stanford University design the first prototype of TeachAIDS.org — a rich-media application to promote global HIV/AIDS prevention.
Since 2006, Andres has worked as a Design Director for David Perry & Associates. He has contributed to campaigns for San Francisco Travel, Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, 2013 America’s Cup, SF Shanghai Sister City Committee and currently the SF Bay Area Super Bowl 50 Host Committee.
In 2013 Andres worked with Shazam Entertainment on several Shazam for TV products, streaming partnerships and an overall design update to iOS7. In 2014, Andres helped launch Luxer One a smart self-serve packaging locker for apartment lobbies. Andres studied Computer Science and Ethnic Studies at Colorado State University. He is an active contributor to a variety of open source software communities and community service. He teaches dance, graphic and web design to youth in SF Bay Area schools and community centers.
