WHY: The Salute to Veteran’s Day will be a free, entertaining, interesting and patriotic event – providing an opportunity for Richmond, Bay Area, and other area supporters of veterans to honor those who have served our country and risked their lives for the freedom we enjoy and cherish.  Further, the event will provide compelling narratives about the history of Richmond in supporting war efforts  and information on a number of local and regional organizations working today to support veterans generally and more specifically in entering the workforce and business after military service.  A delicious buffet will be served, free of charge.

Invitees include: veterans of military service, active duty military, friends/supporters and family of veterans, veteran business owners, representatives from corporate supporters, representatives of veteran advocacy organizations, local elected officials and community leaders and local media representatives

The Craneway Pavilion, located on 25 waterfront acres, delivers spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline, with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire event space as well as a large outside patio.

Established as a 501c-6 tourism business improvement district established in 2004, the Visit Richmond CA is the destination marketing organization for the City of Richmond, California.
